Introduction
Andrea completed a BSc in Biology at UBC (1997) before moving overseas to complete an honours degree in Physiotherapy (2000) at Coventry University in England. She practiced in the UK and then in Vancouver before accepting a position at the sports medicine clinic at the University of Western Ontario. During her time at Western, she worked with varsity athletes and completed a Masters degree in orthopedic physiotherapy (2005). Since returning home to work in Vancouver in 2005, she has completed her Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy as well as Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy (FCAMT). Most recently (2009) she completed certification in Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS) which is a type of deep acupuncture for soft tissue pain.

Andrea has worked in sports medicine for the past 8 years and, while working with all types of clients, has treated athletes from the recreational to the elite level. She has particular experience in rugby, field hockey, ice hockey, football, basketball, track and field, swimming, and gymnastics. When she’s not working at the clinic you might catch her on her mountain bike, hitting some balls on the golf course, running along the beach at Jericho, or trying to get her feet into ski boots or snowshoes to hit the hills.
